Actor Rahul Bose was Charged Rs. 442.50 for two Bananas

The Bollywood actor  Rahul Bose got a shock of his life when he ordered two bananas in his room at the 5-star hotel, JW Marriott in Chandigarh. Unless you were living under a rock, you would have possibly come to know about Rahul Bose’s tragedy with a pair of bananas.

The actor placed an order of two bananas to his room on 22nd July through room service during the stay at the hotel and when he looked at the bill he was stunned. The actor tweeted a video on Twitter telling that the hotel charged him Rs 442.50 for just two bananas.

After Rahul Bose's hotel bill tweet, many Twitterati trolled Rahul for ordering bananas in a 5-star hotel and while others joined with the actor in sharing their hilarious 'Rahul Bose moment' admitting identical experiences.

After going through the video tweeted by Rahul Bose, now the Chandigarh's Deputy Commissioner and Excise and Taxation Commissioner Mandip Singh Brar has ordered a probe into the case.

In a statement given to media house,  DC Mandip Singh Brar said, "Taking attention of the video and bill posted by the actor, I have ordered a probe. I have directed Assistant Excise and Taxation Commissioner (AETC) Rajeev Chaudhary to conduct a thorough probe on how the hotel had charged GST on fresh fruits. Strict action will be taken if found guilty."

On 22nd July, Rahul had tweeted the now-viral video with the caption, "You have to see this to believe it. Who said fruit wasn’t harmful to your existence? Ask the wonderful folks at @JWMarriottChd #goingbananas #howtogetfitandgobroke #potassiumforkings."

At the end of his video, Rahul signed off saying, "They (bananas) are just too good for me."
